Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
· Payroll: Run the bi-weekly payroll cycle and maintain all payroll associated reports and tax compliance.
· Financial Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and documenting all financial transactions properly.
· Transaction Management: Serves as a backup for processing invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
· Reconciliation: Reconciling all employee benefit invoices on a monthly basis. Serves as a backup for reconciling bank statements and cross-checking ledgers to ensure account accuracy.
· Assisting with Audits: Assisting with financial audits by preparing necessary documents and answering queries from auditors.
· Budget Tracking: Monitoring budgetary spending and assisting in budget preparation.
· Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.
· Administrative Support: Performing administrative tasks such as filing, handling phone calls, and managing correspondence related to financial matters.
Duties:
· Responsible for the reconciliation of employee benefits for invoice accuracy and tax purposes.
· Drafting financial documents
· Organizing bookkeeping processes and maintaining both digital and physical financial records.
· Evaluating financial budgets and tracking expenses to ensure they align with budgetary constraints.
· Participating in quarterly and annual audits to ensure compliance and accuracy of financial data.
· Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting and HR software (e.g., UKG).
· Organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
· Ability to lift 10 lbs or more.
Education and Experience:
· A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (preferred)
· Experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk.
Work Conditions:
· Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time.
· Work in indoor conditions with occasional outdoor weather exposure.
· The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to
· access filing cabinets, office machinery, etc.
· Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as
· a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
· The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
· Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
