Position: Tennis Scamp Counselor
Location: River Glen, Mequon, and Brookfield
Type: Seasonal (Summer)
Overview:
Join our dynamic team as a Tennis Camp Counselor! This role is perfect for individuals who have a passion for tennis and enjoy working with children in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment. As a counselor, you will lead and facilitate tennis activities, ensuring campers have a memorable and enriching experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and instruct campers in tennis activities, focusing on skills such as footwork, movement, volleys, and serves.
- Create a fun and engaging atmosphere that encourages participation and fosters a love for the game.
- Organize and implement a variety of drills and games tailored to different skill levels, ensuring inclusivity and enjoyment for all campers.
- Supervise campers during outdoor swimming, team-building activities, snack time, crafts, and other onsite amenities.
- Travel between designated camp locations (River Glen, Mequon, and Brookfield)
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for campers, addressing any concerns while promoting positive behavior and teamwork.
- Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members to ensure a smooth camp experience.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge and experience in tennis; previous coaching or teaching experience is a plus.
- Ability to engage and motivate children aged 5-14 years in a recreational setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to travel between camp locations as required.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to camp).
