We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Communication and Patient Advocacy Manager to join our team and help us build strong, lasting relationships with the healthcare and patient community.
Reporting to the Director of Communications, Patient Advocacy and Government Affairs Italy, this role will be instrumental in shaping and executing integrated corporate affairs strategies that support BeOne's mission and business goals. The ideal candidate will lead the development of insight-driven communication and patient advocacy plans-across both internal and external audiences-ensuring alignment with corporate priorities.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record in branded and unbranded communication, media relations, digital engagement, and responsible communication practices. Experience in patient advocacy and stakeholder engagement in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector is essential to contribute meaningfully to our long-term impact.
Job based in Milan
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement communication strategies aligned to corporate and brand strategies within agreed-upon budgets and timelines
- Support product and pipeline communications in close collaboration with the medical and marketing team.
- Collaborate with communications/PR partners to develop and update various communication materials such as corporate resources, media materials, presentations, etc.
- Create compelling content by working closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to support global social media and digital strategies
- Support corporate reputation work by engaging in executive visibility planning, including speaking and media opportunities
- Provide support for the growing internal communications strategies in collaboration with HR
- Analyze and assess the effectiveness of communication strategies using appropriate key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of demonstrated experience in communications/PR within the healthcare sector, with at least 3 years in a corporate (pharma or biotech) setting. Proven track record in developing and executing successful communication initiatives at national level.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work comfortably in a cross functional environment.
- Able to build and maintain close, collaborative relationships with all levels of the organization to ensure alignment and integration of strategies, tactics and content.
- Strong organizational capabilities; detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently and use sound judgment in decision-making, including setting and managing priorities and meeting competing deadlines.
- Deadline-driven and accustomed to juggling multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.
Additional requirements:
- Demonstrated ability in establishing and cultivating effective internal working relationship with cross-functional counterparts and patient advocacy groups
- Ability to manage multiple projects and processes within a growing organization and fast-paced environment
- Ability to deliver in high-pressure situations and with short deadlines
- Strong ability to demonstrate attention to detail
Education Required:
- Master's degree in communications preferred
- Excellent English writing and editing skills
