Job Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer in our Annapolis, MD office.

Responsibilities

Provide lead structural engineering and project engineering responsibilities on design projects
Prepare detailed plans for new and rehabilitation bridge designs
Perform engineering deign calculations
Develop contract specifications, construction cost estimates, and preparation of contract bid documents
Lead a team of structural engineers on design projects
Perform field inspections to evaluate existing conditions, document findings, and record measurements in the field
Perform QA/QC duties for projects
Provide mentoring and training to junior engineers
Assist with preparation of task proposals

Requirements

B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineering License
A minimum of ten years of experience in transportation projects with a focus on bridge design (preferred experience in the Mid-Atlantic Region)
Experience in conceptual, preliminary, and final design plan production of bridge projects following Federal and State codes
Experience with perform bridge load ratings
Ability to work effectively as part of a design team and manage small design groups and projects
Must be detail and goal-oriented, a self-starter and proficient in both verbal and written communication
Ability to develop CAD drawings in Microstation, Open Roads Designer, and AutoCAD
Ability to develop proposals, schedules and manage tasks independently

Salary Range- $135,000-$175,000 annually. Salary commensurate with experience.
