Sr. Design Specialist - Design UX Concepts

As a Sr. Design Specialist - Design UX Concepts, you'll help shape how millions of customers interact with our brand in stores-blending design thinking, spatial UX, and digital integration to craft intuitive and inspiring environments.

This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days at our corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota, and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What you'll do

• Lead UX strategy and execution for physical store environments, including layout, signage, and interactive touchpoints.
• Translate customer insights into design concepts that improve the in-store journey.
• Create wireframes, journey maps, and prototypes to express and test ideas.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, and business partners to bring cohesive experiences to life.
• Ensure consistency and accessibility across all store touchpoints.
• Guide usability testing and pilot programs to validate design solutions.

Basic qualifications

• 3 or more years of experience designing for physical environments, spatial UX, or retail/service design.
• Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end experiences across physical and digital channels.
• Deep understanding of design thinking, service design, and user-centered methods.
• Proficiency in tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC, and spatial planning software.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in retail, AR/VR, smart fixtures, or customer journey mapping
