Job Description
Registered Dental Assistants make patients as comfortable as possible in the dental chair. To achieve this, the Registered Dental Assistant performs a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. Some of these responsibilities include: preparing patient for procedures, sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, prepare materials, assist dentist during dental procedures, schedule appointments, prepare bills and receive payment for dental services, complete insurance forms, and maintain records, must be comfortable with performing tasks in a computer.
Job Specific Expectations:
- Expose dental diagnostic X-Rays
- Record treatment information in patient records
- Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients.
- Clean teeth, using dental instruments including cleaning and polishing removable appliances.
- Apply protective coating of fluoride to teeth.
- Fabricate temporary restorations and custom impressions from preliminary impressions.
- Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs.
- Pour, trim, and polish study casts.
- Provide postoperative instructions prescribed by dentist.

- Monday- Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Friday: 8:00 am to 1:00 pm
Education:
- High school or equivalent
Experience:
- Dental Assisting: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Registered Dental Assistant (Required)
- X-Ray Certification (Preferred)
- Coronal Polishing, Radiographic, Sealants
