Summary/Objective

An integral team member who collaborates on the management and execution of a project in a safe and profitable manner.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement project execution strategies
  • Manage discrete functional areas of a project utilizing various tools and analytics
  • Assist with the leadership and development of project team members
  • Assist in managing/adjusting auto and general liability claims.
  • Manage forecasting and reporting
  • Construction engineering
  • Resolution of problems involving labor disputes, material delivery and contract administration
  • Foster and maintain favorable relationships with project stake holders
  • Market and promote the Superior Construction brand

Supervisory Requirements

This position will have direct reports and supervisory requirements.

Work Environment       

                                                                                                   

Additionally, a pressurized environment is the norm.

Employee will be working on heavy civil and highway construction sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.

Physical Demands        

                                                                                                             

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to navigate rugged terrain, climb substantial heights, and work over and on water.

The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multilimbed coordination. The employee must have excellent stamina.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time exempt position. This position sometimes requires long hours, holidays, and weekend work.

Travel                      

                                                                                                

The role could require regional travel within the assigned Division.

Required Education and Experience

  • BS Construction, Engineering, or other relevant fields of study
  • Minimum three years of industry tenure
  • Field based project execution experience
  • Field based leadership roles
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Safety Trained Supervisor Construction Certification
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Viewpoint experience a plus
  • Knowledge of estimating process

Additional Eligibility Requirements

  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment.
