Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Triage QuickCARE walk-in patients to assess urgency and needs
  • Possess knowledge of QuickCARE clinic services and provider requirements
  • Collaborate with the Gritman Emergency Department for best practices and care continuity
  • Coordinate nursing activities, including collaboration with physicians and other departments
  • Identify priorities for patient care management
  • Understand the responsibilities of all nursing roles for effective staff assignments
  • Delegate unit and patient responsibilities to clinical staff based on their qualifications, following Idaho's nursing regulations
  • Use communication theories and techniques in negotiations with patients, families, and staff to achieve care goals
  • Routinely check and update the accuracy and completeness of patient care plans
  • Contrast and evaluate patient behaviors and conditions against care plan goals
  • Assist in establishing patient care criteria for quality improvement programs
  • Check equipment functionality
  • Ensure patient safety in compliance with Rural Health Clinic Accreditation standards
  • Audit patient medical records for completeness and accuracy of care documentation
  • Implement corrective measures for any deficiencies in the quality of care administered

Requirements:

  • Education: Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing with at least an AS in Nursing.

  • Licenses/Certifications: Must be a Licensed Practical or Registered Nurse in Idaho or possess a compact state license.

  • Essential hearing, speech, and sense of touch.

  • Occasional repetitive motion activities.

  • Environmental Conditions:

  • Regular exposure to bloodborne and other infectious diseases.

  • Contact with patients in varied conditions.

  • Possible exposure to patient elements like accidents, injuries, and illnesses.

  • Faces varying and unpredictable situations, including potentially violent or angry patients and families.

  • Work in emergency and crisis situations.

  • Occasionally works irregular hours or shifts.

  • Frequently manages multiple demands and tasks simultaneously.
