Job Title: Garnishment Call Team

Job Summary:

The position is responsible for contacting the Defendant's employer on record for judgment files. Daily tasks include reviewing files in the electronic filing database for employer and bank information, outbound calls to employers to verify employment, research (skip-tracing) for current place of employment, and assisting co-workers with additional tasks such as printing of the wage and bank garnishments and forwarding the garnishment paperwork to in-house attorneys for review and signature.

Essential Duties:

  • Receive inbound calls from employers and banks regarding wage & bank garnishments for the 9 states.
  • Perform outbound calls to employers and banks for interrogatory responses and money follow up.
  • Make calls to verify employment, including some skip tracing to locate phone numbers & addresses, checking post office for service & contacting the Secretary of State.
  • Some faxing & generating letters to employees.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Excellent oral & written communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word
  • Detail oriented
  • Highly organized
  • MUST be comfortable on the phone & making calls
