Lead Electrical Engineer
We have a unique opportunity for career advancement; to step directly into a leadership role as a Lead Electrical PE in the building design industry. You will have the resources of the firm and the partnership of our firmwide Electrical Engineering team to work with you as we grow our team and our business.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
- 15+ years of relevant experience in a wide range of project types
- Licensed Professional Engineer
Your Role at Cushing Terrell:
- Ability to Utilize Autodesk MEP Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Outlook, and Microsoft Office
- Deep understanding of various systems, including their advantages, disadvantages, costs, and efficiencies
- Lead project interviews, prepare fee proposals, and negotiate contracts
- Drive business development by identifying market opportunities and participating in firm-wide project interviews
- Serve as Engineer-in-responsible-charge, making technical decisions, reviewing, stamping, and signing Construction Documents
- Schedule project workloads, represent Cushing Terrell in meetings, and assist in strategy sessions
- Review drawings and provide feedback to the project team
- Direct activities of workers and consultants preparing drawings and specifications
- Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company interests while maintaining strong client relationships
- Execute supervisory responsibilities, including interviewing, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining team members, addressing complaints, and resolving issues
- Provide leadership, communication, training, mentorship, continuous assignments, and feedback to team members
- Act as a resource/advisor for continuing education topics/needs
- Engage actively in professional development
Compensation
The expected salary range for this position is $145,000 to $168,000 annually and is based on the location/s posted.
Actual pay will be determined based on your years of experience, licensure status, location, level of proficiency, and other job-related factors (as permitted by law). The position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
