Job Description

COMPANY: Mueller Co. LLC

TITLE: Database Administrator - Operational Technology

Duties: Build best-in-class manufacturing operational technology practices in support of producing the next generation of water infrastructure products. Collaborate and support our plant teams in developing and deploying solutions for optimized productivity, asset utilization, and cost reduction. Develop site Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and monitor Databases following standardized structures and global granularity. Support Optimization of Resource Utilization for site databases. Maintain and train MS SQL Standard architecture with site Database Administrators. Responsible for maintaining and supporting health metrics for all MES Database. Lead Structural Maintenance of Database Indexing, Partitioning, and archival with site Database Administrators. Leveraged as SME and coach for technical leaders. Plant SME's database structure and new development requirements. Train Generalized Standards for UX for cross platform unity. Lead Development of Large Architecture Systems for plant use cases. Support Maintenance of Databases, API's, and connected systems such as analysis and reporting systems company wide. Hybrid work from home permitted one (1) day a week within a reasonable commuting distance of the Chattanooga, TN office. This position requires 25% domestic travel.

SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

LOCATION: Mueller Co. LLC, 1401 Mueller Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37406

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as an Industrial Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or closely related occupation.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Also requires experience in the following:

  • 1 year in Manufacturing plant environment;
  • 2 years of Database administration experience;
  • SQL Database Administration;
  • Structural expertise in query optimization and database resource optimization;
  • Experience Managing projects across cross-functional teams;
  • Business Intelligence software experience such as PowerBI, SSRS, etc.; and
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Suite and Data Analytics Platforms.
