Cosentino's Sunfresh #448 is seeking a dedicated Day Clerk/Stocker to join our team. This role involves maintaining store inventory, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a clean and organized shopping environment. The ideal candidate should possess strong stocking merchandise skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail setting. This position requires a commitment to food safety and sanitation standards.
Responsibilities:
- Stocking merchandise on shelves, ensuring proper facing and rotation.
- Loading and unloading deliveries, utilizing pallet jacks as needed.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to sanitation guidelines.
- Providing exceptional customer service, demonstrating strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Operating the point of sale system accurately and efficiently.
- Assisting with merchandising displays to promote sales.
- Monitoring inventory levels and reporting discrepancies.
- Handling customer inquiries and resolving issues with a positive approach.
- Applying selling techniques to assist customers with product selection.
- Adhering to all food safety and sanitation protocols.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of retail operations.
- General knowledge of arithmetic and general mathematics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Effective communication skills in the English language.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with warehousing procedures.
- Understanding of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to multitask and remain detail-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment.
- Experience with point of sale systems.
- Familiarity with merchandising principles.
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure.
