Job Description Summary
The Senior Coordinator provides excellent customer service to all current and prospective students/parents, faculty, staff, alumni, and university visitors while managing the daily operations for the Office of Counseling Services. This individual must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational skills. The Senior Coordinator plays an integral part of maintaining and assuring the productivity and efficiency of the department and its staff.
Job Description
Duties and Tasks:
- Serve as primary contact person for the Office of Counseling Services.
- Maintain all office and student files.
- Manage all incoming phone calls, voicemail, email, postal mail, faxes, and guests/walk-ins.
- Select, supervise, and train student office staff.
- Process all paperwork associated with the Office of Counseling Services.
- Administratively support the counseling staff.
- Maintain all office supplies, petty cash, and reimbursements.
- Assist with the R25 facilities reservations program.
- Access, input, and maintain all of Counseling Services related forms/data.
- Process budget reports for the Office of Counseling Services.
- Navigation of Datatel on a daily basis.
- Maintains confidentiality of all counseling related information.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience in Higher Education as Administrative Assistant or equivalent
- Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Working knowledge and application of Microsoft Office Suite.
Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Conflict and problem solving skills.
Abilities:
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Ability to work with diverse student population
