Marketing & Communications Designer

Job Description

As a Marketing and Communications Designer, your job sits at the cross-section of a graphic/visual designer, copywriter, and psychologist. Your goal is to get every American to want to become an Aven customer. You will be at the heart of bringing creative ideas to life, both strategically and visually. You will work alongside the product and growth teams. We want a fast thinker with exceptional visual communication, copywriting skills, and an analytical mindset.

Responsibilities:

• Art direct and design (hands-on) innovative experiences across several mediums, including the web, print, ads, direct mail, billboards, social, events, etc.

• Collaborate at an incredibly fast pace with our growth and product teams to develop powerful acquisition campaigns and strategies

• Embody precision and craft. Hold the quality bar incredibly high

• Create powerful copy and content strategies

• Pull insights from analytics and translate them into new campaigns/concepts

Qualification:

• 4+ years of experience working in design, advertising, freelance, or a related field

• Experience designing across multiple mediums (web, print, mobile)

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Effectively communicate your reasoning behind ideas and decisions

• Expertise in typography, composition, layout, and design thinking, and design tools (Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)

• Want to work in a fast-paced startup environment
