Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Analytics and Data Solutions, this position conducts routine assignments in implementing and administrating admissions strategies, policies, and procedures. The candidate must be able to think critically about how to best use the admissions CRM (Slate) in support of achieving enrollment goals. In addition, they will be responsible for supporting the strategic planning and optimization of our email channel. This position will further develop UChicago Professional's relationship with our prospects throughout their entire lifecycle.
This role will also perform statistical data analysis, data mining, and optimizations using multiple tools and techniques to provide insights from recruitment and operations data. This role will also learn to build data processing pipelines and learn to visualize data to present insights to different business units.
Responsibilities
- Works as an integral member of the Analytics and Data Solutions Team to help administrate Slate and Lifelong Learning Extended Education, or another registration system, ensuring system integrity and usability.
- Maintains application database (Slate), registration database, and paper files regarding admissions and enrollment, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Provides technical and process-related support, addressing system and operational issues as they arise.
- Leads the front-end operations for all admissions functions, acting as the subject matter expert for Slate. Manages the daily operations of admissions processes and oversees the administration of Slate.
- Provides strategic recommendations on Slate functionalities to enhance efficiency and optimize cross-functional team performance.
- Partners with functional stewards, business units, and user partners to develop reporting and analytic solutions with appropriate data governance and secure access.
- Develops an understanding of team requirements from business partners to align visualization of key performance indicators.
- Identifies key metrics and builds data dashboards/reports using tools such as Tableau with a good understanding of data analysis expressions. Develops, manages, and maintains automated Tableau dashboards and SQL data pipelines.
- Manages the annual application edits process, makes recommendations for changes, and provides testing support to ensure accuracy.
- Provides support in the development and implementation of admissions processes, best practices, and procedures.
- Manages the admissions review process by assigning readers and bins and troubleshooting reader issues.
- In partnership with stakeholders, develops and builds email journeys that engage the audience, drive lead conversions, and increase the customer lifetime value.
- Serves as a bridge between marketing and enrollment outreach efforts across unit.
- Identifies new opportunities in collaboration with Marketing, Communications, and Enrollment Management to improve audience segmentation, content, timing, frequency, and A/B testing.
- Collaborates with Marketing, Communications, and Enrollment Management in the daily set-up of one-time and automated email campaigns, content and message optimization, mobile-responsive email template creation and editing (HTML), list segmentation, deployment, and reporting using Slate mailings.
- Participates in the development of Business Intelligence (BI) and other analytical applications. Works to achieve an integrated reporting and analysis environment, effectively leveraging analytical systems and tools.
- Works with users to ensure deliverables are meeting or exceeding expectations. Provides support and communicates issues to users as defined by IT standards. Monitors access control and troubleshoot BI and analytic applications.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.
Work Experience:
Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.

Experience:
- Professional work experience.
- Supporting or managing an admissions CRM, Technologies Slate (CRM).
- Previous experience working in higher education.
- Three years of data analysis experience.
Technical Skills or Knowledge:
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, PPT, Word, and Outlook.
- Proficiency with Slate and Lifelong Learning Extended Education or other registration systems, SQL, and Tableau.
- Proficient with/master internal University of Chicago systems.
