Job Opportunity: Product Filing Analyst (part time) at Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance

Location: Jackson, MS
Role and Responsibilities: The Product Filing Analyst assists in obtaining approval of insurance products and forms by preparing and submitting product and form filings with state insurance departments and the Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Commission (IIPRC) using the System for Electronic Rate and Form Filing (SERFF) or other electronic filing systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Prepare and submit product filings, including rates, rules, forms, and annual reports and certifications with the appropriate jurisdictions.
- Effectively review and respond to regulatory objections and ensure timely resolution in order to obtain filing approval.
- Collaborate with other business areas to gather necessary information for filings and respond to questions.
- Research and apply new and existing life insurance regulations, statutes, and bulletins surrounding policy forms to ensure forms and filings meet all applicable requirements.
- Draft and revise contracts, policies, applications, riders, and endorsements to meet business needs and align with regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all filings and correspondence necessary to support audits and ensure compliance.
- Provide regular updates and reports to management on filing activities and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree - insurance, business, law, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
- Ability to analyze situations, identify problems, summarize findings and develop effective solutions
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in life insurance product filing or regulatory compliance preferred
