Continuous Improvement Engineer

Your Role
- To evaluate and improve manufacturing processes in an industrial plant using Lean Methodologies.
- Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing processes across plant.
- Analyze and plan work force utilization, workflow and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Create Value Stream Mapping to identify value added and non-value added activities in order to stream line processes.
- Apply Lean Principles to reduce 8 types of waste in the processes.
- Collect data and create reports in order to make data driven decisions in various operations of the plant.
- Manage Evaluate-React-Go-Optimize (ERGO) website and all activities related to ERGO.
- Co-ordinate Kaizen events and document before and after results.
- Confer with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
- Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing capacity and potential.
- Ability to cooperate and work well with other team members to accomplish necessary tasks in a timely, efficient manner to generate quality products.
- Candidate will be responsible for time studies, line balance, work station layout and coordination of 5S activities.
Your Skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
- Six Sigma Black Belt and TPS Toyota Production System experience preferred
- Will consider Six Sigma Green Belt with extensive TPS Toyota Production System experience
