Job Description
Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, an international law firm, is actively recruiting a Data Services Engineer. This position takes responsibility for the evaluation, selection, acquisition, implementation, maintenance, and support of the firm's Enterprise Systems data platforms. Works closely with each of the Enterprise Systems team members, and other IT team members to ensure the ongoing viability, performance, and success of all Enterprise Systems.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Designs, builds and deploys Power BI solutions (e.g. visual reports, KPI scorecards and dashboards, visualizations).
Assists in building Power BI data reporting models, dataflows and data warehouses.
Assists in connecting data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business intelligence.
Exhibits expert skill in using advanced-level calculations on the data set in both DAX and M - Power Query.
Oversees creation and maintenance of design methodology and project documentation.
Supports development of tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with firm data warehouse standards.
Assists in translation of business reporting requirements into technical reporting specifications. Provides technical support and troubleshooting of Power BI reporting solutions, including investigation of data issues, data validation and balancing.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of job related experience required, preferably in a law firm, professional services, or other client relationship-based organization. Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
Other Qualifications: Travel may be required. Availability and willingness to work hours as needed to meet critical deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications. Visual acuity needed to process and read extensive written communications. Ability to receive and convey detailed information through oral communication.
