Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities: Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Communication between all management, hourly staff and other security personnel to ensure complete safety of all.
- Greeting guests with a smile.
- Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol may be expected.
- When there is a conflict between guests or guest and employees, calmly mitigate the situation. When appropriate communicate and escalate issues with the management and local law enforcement officers.
- When instructed under specific circumstances, search the bag and belongings of guests and or employees.
- Communicate with guests using clear and enthusiastic words, tone and body language at all times. Make guests feel appreciated through your actions.
- In the case of emergency, provide leadership in evacuating the guests in a calm and orderly manner.
- Ability to keep calm in adverse situations.
- Being able to make intelligent critical decisions during emergencies and notifying management as deemed necessary.
- Be attentive! Offer your assistance before guests have to ask for it.
- Work as a team with all Company’s personnel in order to maintain an effective atmosphere.
- In situations where large number of guests are involved, implement proper crowd control strategies.
- Constantly monitor surroundings in order to provide the best security outcome. Report any unusual incidents or activities to management.
- Limit problems and liability related to guests' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading guests to stop drinking, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated guests.
- Report to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
- Other duties as directed.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Alcohol Service certification a plus
- Basic reading skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Organizational skills.
- Multi-task oriented.
- Experience of bar security work is highly desired
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is an hourly paid position. Days and hours of work vary according to business hours and job requirements. Business operates seven (7) days a week; and hours start as early as 8 AM and can go as late as 2 AM depending on the work required.
Work Culture:
This role will require attention to detail, a smile and a high level of communication with guests, co workers, Managers and Chefs.
Compensation: $20.00 per hour
