Job Title: Truck Shop Mechanic (2nd Shift)
Schedule: 2pm-12:30am
Location: Batesville, AR
Summary:
We are hiring a 2nd shift Truck Shop Mechanic to support our poultry production operations. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of diesel and gas-powered equipment, including on-highway trucks, forklifts, skid steers, backhoes, generators, and agricultural machinery. Welding and fabrication skills are required. Must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel and gas engines
• Maintain and repair skid steers, backhoes, forklifts, and trucks
• Perform preventive maintenance on ag equipment and generators
• Use hand tools and welding equipment for mechanical repairs and fabrication
• Maintain accurate maintenance records
• Respond to breakdowns and emergencies on-site as needed
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
Requirements:
• 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred
• Welding and fabrication skills required
• Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems
• Class A CDL strongly preferred
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor/industrial environments
• High school diploma or equivalent
