Job Description

Demolition & Decontamination Laborer

Are you a safety-focused individual with a passion for challenging projects? Join our team as a Demolition & Decontamination Specialist and play a vital role in critical site operations in and around Los Alamos, NM with occasional work at our Rio Rancho location. We're looking for dedicated team players eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a safe working environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform demolition, waste cleanup, removal, and material handling, including packaging and decontamination.
  • Operate a variety of heavy and small equipment and tools, with opportunities for specialized tasks and training.
  • Act as a heavy equipment spotter, ensuring safety and precision.
  • Maintain impeccable site, shop, and vehicle standards through regular maintenance and housekeeping.
  • Work collaboratively or independently on various physical duties as assigned.
  • Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, communicating daily with site Safety Representatives.
  • What We're Looking For:

    Qualifications:

    Minimum 1 year of previous labor, demolition, or remediation experience.

    Valid Driver's License, satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR required), and reliable transportation.

    U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature and location of the work.

    Ability to pass a federal background check.

    Applicants must pass a pre-job drug screen.

    Basic computer knowledge (Word, Excel, Email).

    Skills & Attributes:

    Eager to learn new skills and advance within the company.

    Ability to meet significant physical demands, including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, walking on uneven terrain, and working outdoors in various weather conditions (proper PPE provided).

    Values safety above all else.

    Work Schedule:

    Full-time (four 10-hour days)

    Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required; commuting to various job sites (Los Alamos, Rio Rancho, potential projects throughout the state) is required.

    Wage:

    Based on experience level: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
