Base Pay Range: $21.65/hour - $29.77/hour

The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Position Summary

The Design Support Specialist plays a key role in supporting various Banner engineering teams. This position is responsible for engineering and manufacturing support, contributing to the success of Banner. The Design Support Specialist I works closely with engineers, engineering leadership and the rest of the DSS team to ensure data integrity and revision control is maintained. The ideal candidate brings strong data entry skills and a proven ability to learn and adapt. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This is an onsite position located at our Plymouth, HQ Campus.

This position reports to the Director of Engineering Systems & Processes.

What You'll Be Doing

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, staying on top of tasks, and making a meaningful impact across teams and projects. Below are some key responsibilities of the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work extensively in Oracle ERP
  • Assign and set up new item numbers
  • Enter and maintain item bills of material and routings
  • Process engineering change orders (ECOs)
  • Approve various workflows for document and software revision control
  • Support the new product introduction (NPI) process and release of items
  • Answer basic questions from engineers
  • Check documents in/out of web center with a basic knowledge of metadata and content management
  • Maintain processes and procedures for engineering documentation
  • Process engineering build requests
  • Interact with manufacturing plants (China, Mexico, and US)
  • Other duties as assigned

Required

  • Minimum 2-year degree in a business or technical field, or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of manufacturing and inventory

Preferred

  • Relevant ERP and systems experience (Oracle, Workfront and Notes) and workflow processes
  • Trainable collaborator
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Intermediate computer skills, especially Microsoft Office including Excel
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • A customer service mindset
  • Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects

  • Corporate office environment - indoor and climate-controlled
  • Frequent interaction with internal departments, cross-functional teams as well as employees across all levels of the organization including other Banner employees in our factories
  • Exposure to moderate noise, moving mechanical parts, and temperature changes in production areas
  • PPE may be required in specific areas (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection)
  • Standard hours Monday through Friday; occasional overtime may be required
  • Exposure to various manufacturing, warehousing, or related industrial locations
