Job Description

Duties:

Develop robust Automated testing framework for KEMI's technology stack.

Build automated testing strategy for large scale projects; prepare test plans and detailed test cases.

Create test transactions, test bed, and execute test cases to log defects; validate that software meets functional and technical specifications. 

Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.

Assist in defining and implementing the testing automation approach at KEMI.

Collaborate with business, systems analysts, programmers, and end users to create automated testing scenarios for software programs. 

Assist in estimating testing effort, resource needs, and timelines.

Provide guidance to developer and testers when needed.

Review requirements for testability, maintainability, accuracy, and consistency.

Maintain and continuously improve KEMI’s automated testing framework.

Participate in daily scrum calls, technical walkthroughs, and design review sessions.

Identify, analyze, and capture inconsistencies in the software program logic, data, reports, user interface, and content.

Apply Agile principles and practices for incremental software testing.

Document, track, and communicate test plan, test results, and unresolved problems. Create and maintain testing procedures.

Translate user stories, acceptance criteria, and business requirements into test plans and test cases.

Participate in deployments of application code and minor data changes (PDCRs).

Achieve annual performance SMART Goals.

Perform other duties as requested.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to work effectively as a team player; take full ownership of testing tasks.

Expert knowledge of testing automation; experience with Selenium or similar tools.

Demonstrate aptitude for analysis, troubleshooting, and thorough testing. 

Ability to effectively communicate test cases, test results, issues, and concepts to technical and functional audiences.

Comfortable with handling multiple tasks and complex issues simultaneously.

Ability to focus on processes, workflows, and data flows; analyze each step and consider exceptions to the norm.

Excellent listening, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Strong understanding of software development methodologies, Agile principles, Change Management, and ITIL practices.

Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, Jira, GIT, Cloud.

Ability to work with business users to clarify requirements and technical team to resolve defects.

Intermediate knowledge of SQL, HTML, or other programing languages.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, or related field preferred.

Experience:

8 years of progressive automated testing in the insurance industry preferred. 

FLSA Category:

Exempt.

Essential Functions:

Efficiently develop automation for testing and software deployment.

Ability to work at a desk for extended periods of time, communicate via telephone, operate a computer, keyboard and mouse throughout the day.

Ability to interact professionally with coworkers, existing and potential customers.
