Job Description

Make an Impact Where It Matters Most

At Intelliforce, we solve complex problems that power the nation’s most advanced computing systems. As a DevOps Engineer supporting the GALACTICTIDE program, you’ll be at the center of modernizing and automating high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure for critical mission environments. While this position is categorized as Software Engineer Level 4 (SWE-4), the focus is entirely on DevOps engineering—building, enhancing, and sustaining automation frameworks that optimize provisioning, deployment, and sustainment operations for Linux-based HPC systems. You’ll collaborate with engineers who share your passion for automation, scalability, and mission success.

Schedule and Work Details

  • Location: NBP 140

  • Telework: Not available

  • Schedule: Full-time | 40 hours per week | Day shift

  • Clearance: Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (required)

Here’s What Your Day-to-Day Might Include

  • Develop, enhance, and sustain automation tools for provisioning and maintaining high-performance computing systems

  • Manage and administer Linux environments, including configuration, software integration, and service management

  • Automate manual processes using Bash scripting and Python development

  • Install, configure, and support COTS, GOTS, and FOSS software packages in a secure Linux environment

  • Use Ansible and other automation frameworks to orchestrate deployments and system updates

  • Support CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins, and Bamboo

  • Use Git for version control and collaborative development workflows

  • Partner with system engineers and developers to ensure reliable, repeatable, and secure infrastructure deployments

  • Troubleshoot and optimize configurations for performance, stability, and security

Minimum Qualifications

Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (required).Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline and ten (10) years of experience as a Software Engineer

  • OR Bachelor’s degree and twelve (12) years of experience

  • OR fourteen (14) years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree

Required Skills

  • Proficient in Linux administration and CLI-based operations

  • Strong experience developing and maintaining Bash automation scripts

  • Knowledge of configuration management and service orchestration

  • Experience with Ansible for deployment automation

  • Working experience with Python for automation and integration tasks

  • Hands-on use of CI/CD pipelines and tools (GitLab CI, Bamboo, Jenkins)

  • Experience with Git for source control management

  • Ability to install, configure, and maintain complex COTS/GOTS/FOSS applications in Linux

Desired Skills

  • Experience using Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)

  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe development methodologies

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in dynamic technical environments

  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Compensation Range: $191,000.00 - $252,000.00

The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role.
