Job Description
Florida Tech is seeking an early-career graphic designer to join our award-winning Creative Services team. The Graphic Designer provides high-quality digital design services to the university community. The Graphic Designer designs a variety of print and electronic deliverables, including brochures, newsletters, print and digital ads, social media graphics, large-format display graphics, business materials and other marketing collateral for university clients--on deadline. Projects may involve new, start-from-scratch concepting or simple revisions to existing designs. This position requires originality and creative problem-solving to create fresh and engaging communications, while adhering to the university's brand and graphic identity standards. Successful candidates will be creative, curious, efficient and energetic self-starters who are comfortable working with the team as well as independently managing deadlines and juggling multiple projects of varying complexity. The Graphic Designer is a critical thinker and competent communicator, with strong attention to detail, patience and service mindset.
Job Requirements:
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud programs, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat
- Compliance with the university's brand identity guidelines
- Understanding of offset and digital print processes, color correction, visual hierarchy and typography fundamentals
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and planning skills
- Flexible and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and responsibly while managing numerous projects simultaneously
- Ability to take creative direction and incorporate feedback
- Strong work ethic with a desire to learn and grow
- Comfortable with digital work management systems and using Mac OS
Preferred Qualifications:
- Writing/editing competency
- Photography skills
- Familiarity with AP Style
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, communication, art or related field with 1-3 years of experience, ideally in an agency or higher education environment
- Portfolio of creative samples required for consideration

Annual Security & Fire Safety Report
The federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) requires colleges and universities, both public and private, participating in federal student aid programs to disclose campus safety information and impose certain basic requirements for handling incidents of sexual violence and emergency situations.
Florida Tech's 2024 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Florida Tech, and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus.
The numbers provided include crime statistics reported to local law enforcement agencies, campus security and other Campus Security Authorities.
The report also includes institutional policy statements regarding campus safety and security measures, descriptions of prevention and awareness programs, related university procedures and important guidance, and other essential safety information.

Official Transcripts
Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Office of Human Resources prior to the first day of employment. All international degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. (NACES).
