Job Description

The Director of Talent Acquisition for Swope Health is a strategic leader responsible for designing, executing, and optimizing the recruitment function for a growing healthcare organization. This role is accountable for full-cycle recruitment process across clinical, administrative, and executive functions, ensuring the organization attracts and retains high-caliber talent while aligning with regulatory compliance and workforce needs. This role leads a high-performing TA team, and credentialing process, partners with leadership to understand hiring needs, and ensures the organization builds a strong employer brand. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, with a passion for creating best-in-class recruitment practices that support organizational growth.

Primary Functions:

  • Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies aligned with company goals and workforce planning needs.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of recruiters, recruitment coordinators and credentialing specialist.
  • Build a strong employer brand through recruitment marketing, and strategic partnerships.
  • Partner with clinical and non-clinical leaders to understand hiring needs and translate them into effective recruitment plans.
  • Build strong pipelines for critical healthcare roles (RNs, NPs, physicians, allied health, behavioral health, etc.) through proactive sourcing and relationship building.
  • Establish and track key metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, source of hire).
  • Collaborate with department heads and senior leadership to forecast hiring needs and build a proactive talent pipeline.
  • Oversee executive search efforts and manage relationships with external search partners as needed.
  • Implement technology solutions, including ATS optimization, to improve recruitment processes and candidate experience.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in recruiting and workforce development.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5–10+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, including 3–5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience developing and executing recruitment strategies in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong knowledge of talent acquisition tools, applicant tracking systems (e.g., and sourcing platforms (LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Boolean, etc.).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent HRIS and data analytics skills, UKG experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • 3-5 years experience in healthcare preferred
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification highly preferred
