Job Description:
A Brief Overview
Provide quality support services for the Diagnostic Imaging Department. Primary responsibilities include transporting patients, prioritizing patient transports, assisting with set up of imaging exams as directed, and performance of clerical functions.
What you will do
- Transport patients to and from Diagnostic Imaging and Hematology/Oncology.
- Communicate with other departments to provide safe patient transport.
- Operate and maneuver patient safety equipment.
- Prioritize patients needing to be transported.
- Prepare patient for imaging exam.
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
- 1-3 years Experience in the medical field Preferred
- 1-3 years CNA Preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving patients.
- Effectively prioritize tasks to provide timely care.
- Proficiency in using medical equipment, such as patient lifts and patient transfer devices.
- Notice changes in patients' conditions and report them accurately.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support & First Aid- American Heart Association within 60 Days Required
Qualifications:
Screen patients for MRI safety.
