Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Diesel Technician to join our maintenance and repair team. The ideal candidate will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of diesel-powered trucks, trailers, and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in diesel engines, transmissions, and related systems.
Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filters, brake service, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify faults and recommend repairs.
Repair and replace defective parts such as turbochargers, injectors, pumps, clutches, and driveline components.
Maintain accurate repair logs, service records, and work orders.
Operate company equipment safely and maintain a clean work area.
Collaborate with the service manager and parts department to ensure timely repairs and parts availability.
Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic/technician.
Knowledge of diesel engine systems, electrical troubleshooting, and diagnostic procedures.
Basic computer and documentation skills.
Valid driver's license.
