Position Description:
The Director of Inventory Control is responsible for overseeing all inventory adjustments across the company's distribution network. This role ensures the integrity of inventory data, drives loss prevention strategies, and leads a team of regional and corporate inventory control managers. The director will develop and implement policies, procedures, and systems to safeguard assets, optimize inventory accuracy, and support operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the inventory control function across all regional distribution centers and corporate operations.
- Oversee all inventory adjustments, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Develop and enforce asset protection strategies to minimize shrinkage, theft, and loss.
- Supervise and mentor Regional Inventory Control Managers and Corporate Inventory Control Manager.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, and IT teams to improve inventory tracking systems and reporting.
- Analyze inventory trends and discrepancies to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Establish and monitor KPIs related to inventory accuracy, shrinkage, and audit compliance.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Lead investigations into inventory variances and asset protection incidents.
- Provide regular updates and reports to executive leadership on inventory performance and risk mitigation.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 9 years of related experience including significant management experience preferred
