Job Summary
Responsible for managing the pharmacy program, the drug formulary design and development, implementation and risk management in a manner that will improve quality, control utilization and contain costs. This role has the responsibility managing all aspects of clinical, administrative, financial and regulatory aspects of pharmacy.Does this position require Patient Care? NoEssential Functions-Strategize, create and oversee Pharmacy department tasks and projects including opportunities for process improvement -Manage pharmacy staff, including recruitment, coaching and development, and performance management. -Responsible for budget related to Pharmacy department -Develop, implement, and manage a plan for Clinical Pharmacy, which includes establishing and meeting short and long-term goals and managing the pharmacy trend and cost of care. -Track and analyze pharmacy utilization data and trends for finance and other management staff. -Promote efficiency and effectiveness in clinical pharmacy operations. -Coordinate pharmacy programs with clinical case and disease management programs. -Collaborate with Mass General Brigham on enterprise-wide pharmacy matters -Oversee specialty pharmacy relationships and distribution processes. -Develop strategy to understand and manage pharmacy spending that is occurring in medical settings and reimbursed through medical claims adjudication processQualifications

Experience
pharmacy experience working within a clinical setting; fiscal accounting experience; 8-10+ years required
experience managing Pharmacy staff 5-7 years required

Strong aptitude for technology-based solutions.
Current in healthcare trends.

Knowledge of Federal and State regulations and Accreditation standards.
