Job Description
- Responsible for developing and executing the US HEOR medical strategy and related evidence generation and stakeholder engagement planning.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs to incorporate key HEOR initiatives into overall US medical strategy, evidence generation, and stakeholder engagement plans.
- Drive US HEOR evidence generation projects, including development of research plans, protocols, budgets, conduct analyses, and prepare drafts and final reports, abstracts, and manuscripts.
- Act as the key internal HEOR point of contact for evidence generation projects, services, and technologies.
- Provide HEOR and Medical support to cross-functional initiatives, including partner with Commercial and Market Access to shape brand and access strategy.
- Identify and maintain relationships with HEOR and market access key opinion leaders, healthcare and access decision makers including pharmacy benefit management, specialty pharmacies, and other clinical/academic consultants within assigned responsibility.
- Lead field-based, customer-focused initiatives and engage healthcare and access stakeholders in clinical, scientific, and health economic exchange.
- Proactively represent the evidence needs of health care decision makers within HEOR and other internal stakeholders to ensure that unmet needs are identified and prioritized in planning processes.
- Continually educate the organization on the latest developments and thinking in HEOR as it relates to Evidence Based Medicine, regulatory processes, and reimbursement policies.
- Develop and lead high quality presentations that effectively communicate the evolving U.S. healthcare environment, health technology assessment, or other topics.
- PhD, PharmD, or MD/DO required
- 7+ years of relevant field-based or other Pharmacoeconomics professional experience in the diagnostic, biomedical, or pharmaceutical industry, or a managed care, public sector, academic organization, HEOR research organization.
- Demonstrated thorough knowledge of U.S. data sources and payer claims.
- Demonstrates exceptional scientific understanding of health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), combined with knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system.
- Displays strong understanding of the U.S. healthcare environment and applies understanding in support of internal HEOR activities.
- Demonstrated experience in hematology, oncology managed care and access landscape.
- Experience developing and executing HEOR modeling activities (including budget impact, cost effectiveness, etc.) and outcomes analyses (including claims, patient reported outcomes, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience in conducting or interpreting statistical analysis is useful.
- Excellent qualitative and quantitative skills, including study design analysis and interpretation of data from observational research.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural and cross functional team environment is expected.
- Broad experience in collaborating with research partners and in managing multiple tasks and complex projects is very desirable.
- Ability to articulate complex scientific and medical information in understandable business terms.
- Travel required - up to 25%
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Director of Medical Information to support the strategic and tactical development of U.S. publications plans, ensuring HEOR and medical insights are integrated into scientific communication strategies.
- Provide strategic input and operational support for cross-functional evidence generation initiatives, aligning HEOR deliverables with Medical Affairs priorities.
- Step up to lead or support high-priority medical initiatives, including cross-functional workshops, advisory boards, and strategic planning sessions, to ensure alignment across Medical, HEOR, and Commercial functions.
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor across the Medical Affairs team, contributing to the development of integrated evidence and engagement plans that support product value demonstration and external scientific leadership.
