THE ROLE:
As a Director of Enterprise Systems Engineering, you will lead and inspire a high-performing team of Pre-Sales Systems Engineers who partner closely with sales to drive strategic outcomes for our customers. You'll be responsible for setting technical vision, developing top SE talent, and aligning Pre-Sales strategy with Pure's go-to-market priorities. This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, customer impact, and team development-and who is excited to help shape the future of data storage.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Help grow revenue within the region
The successful candidate will join a high performing region and have the unique opportunity to work alongside a Regional Sales Director to define and execute the future strategy of the region for the Southeast Enterprise Business.
- Work with the sales and pre-sales leadership to establish and track progress against a plan for creating long-term, sustainable growth.
- Engage directly with pre-sales and sales leadership to strategize on the team's opportunities and ensure the correct engagement on pre-sales activities
- Lead, report and the analyze the pipeline and forecast from a technical perspective
Provide Organizational Leadership
- Retain, hire and lead a world class team of SE Managers and Systems Engineers, helping to ensure technical success throughout the sales process
- Develop, improve, and maintain resources, ensuring they are efficiently deployed to successfully meet and exceed the company's sales goals whilst also supporting a broad range of customer and partner needs.
- Help ensure that all available overlay team resources are aligned to the regions' success
- Mentor/coach and conduct regular 1:1's with team members to provide constructive feedback and skills development
- Ensure that every employee has a set of goals and Individual Development plan
Alignment, Cooperation and Partnership
- Ensure alignment of technical message and approach across the overlay functions inc. Partner Technical Managers, Data Architects, PSE, FSA, CTO, CX and PS organizations
- Build relationships and alignment with technical equivalents within regional Alliance and Channel partners
- Build and maintain your network both within and outside of Pure

- Be a keen observer. Effectively analyze the results of employee actions and take notice of any shortcomings that could be detrimentally affecting overall productivity

- Be the executive sponsor in the region for a selection of larger opportunities
- Participate in regional industry events/organizations as a thought leader
- Promote products and business solutions at conferences, forums, and seminars.

Experience
- 15+ year's experience in a field Pre-sales position
- Experience leading a team with direct management responsibilities in a large geography
- Must have previous experience supporting the growth of a rapidly expanding organization and managed initiatives aimed at achieving 20% revenue growth
- Willingness to travel as needed on a regular basis

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.

The annual base salary range is:
$177,100-$283,500 USD
