About Us
We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Director of Engineering to lead and scale our engineering organizations at ChromoLogic & Covisus. This role is responsible for driving technical strategy, managing high-performing teams, and ensuring the delivery of innovative, reliable, and scalable solutions that align with business objectives.
ChromoLogic LLC (www.chromologic.com) is a world-class innovation center with advanced scientific research and development in the medical, aerospace and security markets. Covisus Inc. (www.covisus.com) is a VC-funded spin-off from ChromoLogic that has developed an award-winning and industry-leading technology for tagless tracking of assets based on its vTag® technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the engineering vision and strategy in alignment with company goals
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers across multiple disciplines
- Oversee hardware development lifecycle, ensuring best practices in architecture, testing, and deployment
- Collaborate with product, design, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality products on time
- Implement processes for continuous improvement, scalability, and operational excellence
- Manage budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships as needed
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain competitive advantage
- Ability to obtain security clearance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering (systems, optical, mechanical, or electrical) or related field
- 10+ years of engineering experience, including leadership of early TRL stage technologies, proficiency in rapid prototyping, and transition into production
- 5+ years in leadership roles, with a proven track record of managing engineering teams and delivering complex projects
- Excellent communication, leadership, strategic, and innovation skills
