Job Overview Director of Nursing (Home Health & Infusion Services): Compensation: $118,000 $130,000/year Location: New Haven, CT Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM 5:00 PM TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Director of Nursing (Home Health & Infusion Services) in New Haven, CT for our client. This on-site leadership role oversees clinical operations, regulatory compliance, quality management, and nursing performance across home health and infusion service lines. You will lead nursing teams, ensure state and federal compliance, manage staffing and payroll metrics, and support patient care delivery while partnering closely with agency leadership, accreditation bodies, and external care partners. Responsibilities as the Director of Nursing: Clinical & Regulatory Oversight: Ensure full compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards governing home health and infusion services, including licensure, documentation, and required submissions. Quality & Performance Management: Lead quality improvement initiatives, emergency preparedness planning, and performance programs aligned with agency and regulatory requirements. Operational & Census Management: Monitor census trends, operational indicators, and service volume to proactively adjust staffing, resources, and care delivery. Staff Leadership & Development: Oversee recruitment, supervision, training, performance evaluation, and professional development of nursing and clinical support staff. Administrative & Executive Support: Coordinate cross-agency care delivery and serve as acting Administrator when needed, providing operational leadership and decision-making authority. Qualifications for the Director of Nursing: Education: Bachelors degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field required, with advanced education preferred. Licensure: Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Connecticut required. Certification: Current CPR and BLS certification required. Experience: 5+ years of clinical nursing experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role within home health, home infusion, or a related setting, with hands-on supervision of nursing teams and clinical operations. Technical & Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of home health and infusion regulations, accreditation standards, clinical documentation requirements, and quality management frameworks. Skills & Attributes: Confident clinical leader with strong problem-solving abilities, sound judgment, effective communication skills, and the ability to lead teams in a regulated, patient-centered environment. Additional Requirements: Valid drivers license with insured vehicle meeting state and agency requirements.
