Job Description
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
The Director of Nursing Excellence and Quality provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the advancement of nursing clinical outcomes and professional practice. This role drives performance in nursing-sensitive indicators (NSIs), national nursing quality indicators (NDNQI), and evidence-based care, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards. The Director serves as a key liaison between Nursing and departments such as Quality, Regulatory, Clinical Education, and Patient Experience, fostering system-wide collaboration to advance nursing excellence and improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (required).
- Master’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field (required).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience (required).
- Prior experience in clinical quality, education, or professional development (preferred).
- Certification in Nursing Professional Development, Quality, or Leadership preferred (e.g., NE-BC, CPHQ, NPD-BC); required within 2–3 years of hire.
