This Opportunity:
The Director of Nursing Services, CABCO oversees and ensures the effectiveness of the day-to-day operations of Monarch’s nursing staff across Cabarrus FBC, PRTF, and BHUC services. They will be responsible for creating nursing staff models that optimize care for the people Monarch supports. The Director of Nursing Services for Cabarrus will be responsible for the recruitment, retention, onboarding, training, and performance evaluation of all nursing personnel. They will work closely with Cabarrus leadership to promote effective teamwork at each Monarch Behavioral Health site. They will serve as a role model and champion for all nursing personnel.What You'll Do:
Develop and implement a program to evaluate, measure, improve and standardize nursing processes across Monarch.
Update policies, procedures and practice standards for the nursing service line. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations that govern nursing services.
Use evidenced-based practice and performance improvement to guide clinical decision making.
Implement strategies to enhance retention and reduce turnover of nursing staff. Ensure the delivery of cost-effective person supported care through effective resource management.
Provide ongoing training and supervision of nursing staff.
Demonstrate leadership abilities that contribute to an environment that values collaboration, mutual respect, and professionalism.
Provide regular onsite reviews of nursing operations to ensure that quality patient care and staff support needs are met and communicate status to leadership.
Develop and manage nursing development and working relationship initiatives and strategies.
Attend and actively participate in meetings and training as required, including participating in ELT meetings when needed.
Maintain certification in all agency, state and federal training requirements. Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures, as well as service definitions related to specific program areas.
Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and assist in crisis situations.
Traveling statewide to visit sites is required.
