Job Description
The Director of Operations provides strategic leadership and direction for all field operations, overseeing four operational yards across Alabama. This role ensures efficient project execution, strict safety compliance, strong team development, and effective budget management. The Director of Operations drives operational excellence, fosters collaboration among field teams, and partners closely with executive leadership to achieve organizational goals and deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations across four Alabama yards, ensuring consistent performance, safety, and quality standards.
Lead, mentor, and develop Field Supervisors, Foremen, and site leaders to ensure high performance and accountability.
Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional growth across field teams.
Partner with Human Resources, Safety, and Program Directors to align staffing, training, and operational objectives.
Manage operational budgets, purchasing processes, and company equipment to ensure efficiency and cost control.
Enforce compliance with all safety programs, site-specific plans, and emergency response procedures.
Support project teams in meeting quality standards, deadlines, and client expectations.
Cultivate strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and partnership success.
Promote a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Perform other duties as assigned by executive leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in operations or field leadership roles.
Demonstrated success managing multi-site operations, budgets, and teams.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to drive efficiency, improve processes, and uphold high standards of safety and quality.
