Director of Pediatric Services
Location: Oakland, CAHours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PMSalary: $300,000–$310,000 per year
Overview:We are hiring a Director of Pediatric Services to lead a pediatric program within an established community health clinic in Oakland, CA. The Director will oversee clinical operations, guide an interdisciplinary team, and champion high-quality, culturally concordant care with a particular focus on improving outcomes for underserved and Black communities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Recruit, support, and retain pediatric providers and care teams
- Develop clinical protocols and departmental goals aligned with organizational priorities
- Lead continuous quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Utilize health statistics and EHR data to evaluate and refine care delivery
- Build strong relationships with families, community partners, and stakeholders
- Oversee departmental budget and support strategic program growth
Requirements
- Valid California medical license with no disciplinary history
- Board-certified in Pediatrics, Family Medicine, or Medicine/Pediatrics
- Current DEA license and BLS certification
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in ambulatory pediatrics, including supervisory and administrative responsibilities
- Demonstrated experience in community-based or FQHC settings and serving the Black community
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
