Position Overview
Under the direction of the Chief Information Officer with coordination from the Director of IT Operations and Chief Data and Privacy Officer, the Director of Solutions Architecture is a senior-level professional responsible for leading the firm's digital transformation initiatives, focusing on cloud migration, AI-driven automation, and enterprise-wide integration strategies. This role is pivotal in modernizing technology platforms, enabling intelligent workflows, and delivering innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and client service.
Responsibilities
- Lead the solutions delivery team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Define and execute a roadmap for cloud-first architecture and AI-enabled automation across business systems.
- Align technology initiatives with firm-wide goals for scalability, security, and compliance.
- Drive migration of legacy applications and integrations to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
- Implement best practices for cloud security, cost optimization, and performance monitoring.
- Identify opportunities for AI and machine learning to automate workflows, improve data accuracy, and enhance decision-making.
- Deploy intelligent bots and predictive analytics to streamline tax, audit, and advisory processes.
- Oversee design and implementation of secure, scalable integrations between ERP, CRM, and specialized accounting systems.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and regulatory standards during modernization efforts.
- Lead development of custom applications leveraging cloud-native services and AI capabilities.
- Manage full SDLC with emphasis on agile delivery and DevOps practices.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external technology partners to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
- Develop and maintain governance frameworks for application lifecycle management, including coding standards, documentation, and version control.
- Drive adoption of modern development methodologies and tools, such as Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD, to optimize delivery and quality.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with cloud and AI solution providers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in cloud migration strategies, AI/ML implementation, and enterprise integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi).
- Strong understanding of accounting firm operations and regulatory requirements.
- Track record of delivering large-scale digital transformation projects.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A., B.S.) and/or equivalent of education and experiences.
- 10+ years of experience in application development and systems integration, with at least 5 years in a leadership role preferred.
