Job Description

This individual will serve as a partner to the CFO. He or she will be responsible for the production of financial reports and ensuring they are issued on time, in accordance with GAAP and that they fairly and accurately reflect the current financial position. Additionally, the Controller will serve as the lead for all company tax related matters as well as the primary point of contact for an annual audit.

Your Impact:

  • Oversees all transactions related to General Ledger, Receivables, Payables, Payroll and Financial Reporting.

  • Responsible for month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis.

  • Provides strategic guidance by preparing reports that summarize and forecast business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present and expected operations.

  • Develops and coordinates relationships with financial institutions.

  • Develops and maintains all necessary systems to ensure reporting and records are maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Assists senior management in financial planning and results management. Works with leadership to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking.

  • Coordinates, prepares and reviews monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

  • Coordinates and/or prepares tax schedules, returns and information and assures corporate income tax compliance is accurate and timely while taking full advantage of all favorable tax codes.

  • Manages relationships with auditing firms.

  • Manages cash flow.

Here's What You'll Need:

  • Certified Public Accounting Designation (CPA) designation required.

  • Minimum 5 - 10 years experience required.

  • Expertise with corporate audit and/or assurance.

  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions.

  • Strong verbal skills.

  • Communicates clearly and persuasively in written documents.

  • Delivers effective presentations.

  • Cultivates strong personal relationships within the Company.
