What you bring to Cambia:
Basic math and PC skills
Ability to understand, follow, and perform detailed work procedures under pressure
Ability to maintain flexibility in working hours and excellent attendance
Demonstrated basic mechanical aptitude and strong organizational skills
Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks and stand/walk for prolonged periods
Basic knowledge of U.S. Postal Service mailing rules and regulations

Additional Minimum Requirements for Level II:
Demonstrated PC skills and proficient operation of 10-key calculators
Demonstrated good organizational skills
Ability to communicate with vendors and PC Support regarding equipment problems
Knowledge of scanning equipment, PC, and Windows experience
Additional Minimum Requirements for Senior Level:
Proficient Microsoft Office Suite experience (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Intermediate level PC and math skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to direct, train, and mentor others
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Demonstrated competency in establishing effective working relationships
Document Operations Specialist would have a High School Diploma or GED and some basic mail center, imaging, inventory, office or USPS experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid state driver's license may be required
Document Operations Specialist II would have a High School Diploma or GED and one year of document processing, imaging, mail center, or related production environment experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid state driver's license may be required
Document Operations Specialist Senior would have a High School Diploma or GED and 2-3 years of document processing/imaging experience or demonstrated ability to perform at level II or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid state driver's license may be required
What you will do at Cambia:
Document Processing & Imaging:
Sorts and prepares documents for imaging by opening envelopes, removing contents, removing staples, taping torn pages, and flattening documents
Utilizes imaging scanner/PC combinations to index and scan claims, membership documents, and corporate records following established procedures
Verifies documents have been imaged correctly, inspecting images to ensure quality and legibility
Commits all scanned documents to appropriate systems (RADAR, Query System) for departmental retrieval
Identifies and sorts documents by job type for different departments using separator bar code sheets
Mail Operations:
Operates, controls, and monitors PC-based mail processing equipment including inserters, sorters, meters, and other machinery
Receives, sorts, and distributes incoming mail and prepares outgoing mail/packages for shipping
Maintains sufficient postage in meters and records accurate meter readings on appropriate logs
Verifies accuracy and quality of all jobs processed for mailing (correct inserts, addresses, logos, postage, etc.)
Equipment Maintenance & Quality Control:
Performs daily preventative maintenance and minor equipment repairs
Documents and reports all problems that interfere with daily production to Lead/Supervisor
Maintains cleanliness of assigned equipment and work areas
Records and documents all incoming daily work to ensure timely turnaround
Compliance & Security:
Maintains confidentiality of all processed materials and sensitive information
Keeps current on HIPAA law changes and applies them appropriately
Ensures processing center security and that only authorized personnel access work areas
Maintains adequate stock of supplies and envelopes for daily operations
Additional Responsibilities for Level II:
Must operate all assigned equipment to achieve average throughput at no less than 85% of manufacturer's rated capacity
Must maintain an error ratio at less than 5% of total monthly production volume
Utilizes RADAR Navigator system daily to verify document processing and research imaging issues
Schedules vendor maintenance as needed to ensure equipment reliability
Keeps current with USPS regulations to ensure mail compliance with postal standards
Shares knowledge and assists in training newer staff members
Performs daily maintenance on scanning hardware, tracking all service rendered
Reports problem areas and suggests improvements for continuous process improvement
Additional Responsibilities for Senior Level:
Must operate all assigned equipment to achieve average throughput at no less than 90% of manufacturer's rated capacity
Must maintain an error ratio at less than 1% of total monthly production volume
Performance standards must be sustained at required levels for 75% of the evaluation year
Advanced Technical & Leadership Functions:
Functions as technical/training resource and provides backup to supervisor
Cross-trains others and documents operational procedures using Microsoft Office Suite
Updates tracking databases on SharePoint and maintains departmental reports
Assists with imaging issues by determining root causes and coordinating resolution
Maintains highest performance level while serving as subject matter expert
Process Management:
Understands and focuses on meeting department service level initiatives
Organizes, plans, and prioritizes workload within time constraints
Coordinates with other Cambia departments to meet established deadlines
Implements and adjusts new processes to accommodate changing business needs
Acts as role model and promotes positive work environment
Administrative Support:
Provides procedural/administrative assistance to supervisor in absence of lead
Collects and reports production statistics in timely manner
Secures outside vendor service as needed and documents problem resolution
Communicates effectively with co-workers, management, and outside vendors
Work Environment:
Work performed in high-volume professional processing environment and office/mailroom setting
Duties require standing/walking 50-100% of day while monitoring equipment
Some duties performed sitting 50-100% of day operating equipment with constant hand-eye coordination
May require movement between floors for deliveries
Temperature typically maintained at 68°F but may rise to 80°F due to equipment heat
Noisy environment with paper dust and laser printer toner exposure
Hearing protection recommended and provided
Physical Requirements:
Repetitively lift materials up to 50 lbs from floor to waist level
Occasionally lift up to 70 lbs from floor to waist
Repetitively reach and clear mail bins from 24" to 65" height
Bend, stoop, twist, and kneel throughout the day
Handle chemicals (ink, cleaning solvents, lubricating oils) and tools
Works overtime as required to maintain department workload schedules
Due to security and sensitivity of work including PII and PHI, all work performed on-site following Cambia guidelines
The expected hiring range for a Document Operations Specialist I is $17.75 - $21.30/hour depending on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; and performance history.
The bonus target for this position is 5%. The current full salary range for this role is $17.75 - $26.80/hour.
The expected hiring range for a Document Operations Specialist II is $17.75 - $24.45/hour depending on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; and performance history.
The bonus target for this position is 5%. The current full salary range for this role is $17.75 - $28.90/hour.
The expected hiring range for a Document Operations Specialist Sr is $17.75 - $26.40/hour depending on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; and performance history.
The bonus target for this position is 5%. The current full salary range for this role is $17.75 - $31.20/hour.
