Summary
Responsible for driving clients in a comfortable, safe and timely manner. This includes arranging regular cleaning and maintenance for the vehicle, planning each route based on road and traffic conditions. Ultimately, you will help us increase customer satisfaction, making sure clients depend on us for their transportation needs.
Primary responsibilities
· Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip.
· Pick up/drop off clients to/from their homes
· Assist with loading and unloading of wheelchair clients
· Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up to date on road condition.
· Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed.
· Answer client’s questions about the area and local places of interest.
· Ensure the vehicle seats are clean and comfortable for all riders
· Report any issues, repairs or maintenance of the vehicles
· Take vehicles to car wash and detailing services to maintain interior and exterior cleanliness.
· Anything other job duties that is requested by the Executive Director/Administrative Staff.
Requirements
· Proven experience as a Driver
· A Georgia valid driver’s license
· 7-year clean driving record
· Minimum visual acuity of 20/50 (or corrected to 20/50)
· Familiarity with GPS devices
· Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
· Ability to assist with wheelchair clients
· A polite and professional disposition
· Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
