Job Description Summary:

Reflex Media is seeking a highly skilled Senior Email Marketing Specialist to take full ownership of our email marketing programs across the entire customer lifecycle. This is a hands-on role where you’ll build, deploy, and optimize campaigns that drive engagement, acquisition, and retention. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams while independently managing the technical build, segmentation, automation, and analytics of our email communications.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical proficiency with strong marketing instincts. They have experience coding responsive email templates and can manage both recurring lifecycle campaigns and real-time email broadcasts. This role is fully remote and offers flexible PTO, strong benefits, and a direct impact on business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently own the development, testing, deployment, and optimization of email marketing campaigns.
  • Build responsive, cross-client compatible email templates using advanced hand-coded HTML and CSS.
  • Manage sophisticated audience segmentation and personalization strategies to improve engagement and conversions.
  • Build and maintain automated lifecycle email programs and drip campaigns to drive customer onboarding, engagement, and retention.
  • Lead A/B tests on subject lines, content, design, and send times to continuously optimize performance.
  • Analyze campaign data and provide actionable insights to marketing leadership to inform broader CRM and retention strategies.
  • Collaborate with creative, product, and leadership teams to ensure email campaigns align with business goals and branding standards.
  • Stay current on industry best practices, deliverability, email compliance regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR), and evolving platform capabilities.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for email marketing execution, advising internal teams on best practices, deliverability, and email performance optimization.
  • Partner with the product team to support transactional email needs through Mailgun.
  • Understand the mechanics of email Deliverability, DNS record alignment and Verifications (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and BIMI)
  • Ensure email certification compliance via Everest and be proficient in Send Rep and Deliverability tools to protect that certification.
  • Maintain the various email databases, and ensure the hygiene of our lists. Learn the nuances of our database and be able to compose queries for various campaigns and CRM lists.
  • Develop, communicate, and manage the flow of work for the various email campaigns and projects you will be engaged in.

Key Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience owning email marketing campaigns end-to-end.
  • Expert-level proficiency in hand-coding HTML and CSS for email, including responsive and mobile-first design.
  • Strong experience building and managing campaigns in platforms such as Acoustic, Mailgun, Klaviyo, Iterable, Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or comparable ESPs.
  • Proven experience managing segmentation, list hygiene, automated workflows, and complex lifecycle email sequences.
  • Strong understanding of email deliverability, sender reputation, and compliance requirements.
  • Solid experience with campaign performance analysis, reporting, and optimization.
  • Excellent project management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Proactive, self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field required.
