Job Description

Pay: $18.37- $21.88

Schedule: Open Availability

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES FOR ASSISTANT MGR CUSTOMER SERVICE: 

  • Primary responsibility is to make sure the customer service office is running smoothly and efficiently. 
  • Help coordinate inter-office problems with other departments.
  • Oversee customer relations and ensure that the customer is served properly, and their overall experience is pleasant. 
  • Be a role model and leader and solve problems, make informed decisions, and manage the department in order to achieve maximum results. 
  • Maintain a friendly and professional environment by greeting and acknowledging every customer and co-worker that approaches. 
  • Need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have good communication skills.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED FOR ASSISTANT MGR CUSTOMER SERVICE: 

  • Ensure that crew is at work and ready to work
  • Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service
  • Authorize and ensure validity of customer returns
  • Help solve problems that affect the service, efficiency, and productivity of the front end
  • Train, coach, and manage all employees; meet the inbound call goals and work to complete service orders within a time that is satisfying to the customer
  • Ensure safety and productivity of employees
  • Enforce all company policies and procedures
  • Perform disciplinary actions when needed. Perform any other duties as directed by management. 

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Ability to repetitively use arms, hands and fingers; ability to communicate effectively with team members; 1 year experience at Mathis Home in Customer Service position; expert knowledge of Storis; positive attitude when working with customers; knowledge of employment and merchandise handling procedures. 

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion. 

Heavy Work: Lifting up to 20 lbs. occasionally. 
Work Environment: Indoor climate-controlled environment.
