Job Description
Lipscomb's PR and Communications office is seeking student photographers that have a passion for helping cover events on campus that the university photographer is not available to cover. Most events will be student-oriented and located on campus. Occasionally, there may be off campus shoots, but not often. Student photographer may also assist university photographer in larger events on campus as a second photographer.
Requirements:
- Must be very knowledgeable of Digital SLR cameras (ownership of DSLR is a plus but not required)
- Will be asked to shoot RAW images and deliver processed images as JPEGS- both RAW and jpegs will be stored in Lipscomb's archives
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom is a must for processing images
Tasks and Projects may include:
- Capture high quality photography of Lipscomb campus student programs and events.
- Maintain a professional and positive demeanor at events
- Process captured images and select strongest compositions for use in Lipscomb magazines, website and social media
- Help maintain awareness of possible campus events and programs to be documented
- Hours will vary as student events are not every week, some weeks may allow more hours than others
