We are currently seeking an Indirect Lending Credit Officer to join our organization. As the Indirect Lending Credit Officer, you will be responsible for evaluating loan quality by fully underwriting, identifying, assessing, and reporting credit risks in all indirect consumer loan types in accordance with credit union policy and guidelines. You will work with dealerships to clear underwriting conditions and/or stipulations while understanding required documentation for making a well-educated underwriting decision. You will ensure that the credit union's members and auto dealerships are provided a market-leading service relationship with an emphasis on both credit quality and increasing market share by enhancing dealer relationships and providing best-in-class service.
To thrive in this role, you should have One to Five years of similar or related experience and an Associate's Degree.
Key Skills and Experience:
Review and determine approval of indirect loans submitted to the Credit Union.
Decisions loan applications within the Lending Authority and communicates decisions with Member Experience staff and/or external vendors.
Ensure adherence to established underwriting procedures and policies to include validating required documents.
Build and maintain relationships with internal and external contacts through daily and follow up communication by phone, email etc.
Provide consultative feedback to increase product knowledge, identify opportunities, and increase understanding of decision conditions to enhance member service.
