Job Description
Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, this position is responsible for leading the strategic development and implementation of ministry-wide talent acquisition efforts, including sourcing, attracting, interviewing, and selecting qualified candidates. This role plays a vital part in evaluating candidate alignment with Moody's doctrine, community standards, mission, and values. Additionally, the position oversees the planning, administration, and execution of compensation programs and HR systems (UKG), ensuring alignment with organizational goals and HR best practices.
Essential Functions

- Develops and implements recruiting strategies to attract diverse candidates that hold Moody doctrinal beliefs, as well as desired attributes and competencies.
- Maintains interviewing and selection criteria which include spiritual requirements, employability standards, work history, references, and hiring assessments.
- Provides oversight and direction of the application process through the talent acquisition system (UKG).
- Oversee employee transfers and promotions, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local laws regarding employment practices and compensation procedures.
- Leads recruiting, compensation and HRIS team to optimal performance and productivity, including the Human Resources' office assistant function.
- Administers the MBI relocation policy.
- Leverages Human Resources Management System (UKG) to facilitate meeting ministry objectives.
- Develops, implements, and administers compensation programs, policies and procedures in order to be responsive to ministry objectives.
- Oversees the handling of unemployment compensation claims, claim appeals, and benefit payments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related discipline.
- Five years of experience in Human Resources, including demonstrated experience in designing, leading and implementing recruitment strategies and compensation policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication (written/verbal/presentation) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical skills and experience with Human Resources Information Systems
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws.
- Agrees with and supports the doctrinal position, mission, values and community standards of Moody Bible Institute.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
Preferred Requirements
- MBA or PHR
- Experience managing people
- Strong planning, project management, execution and implementation skills.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
This is a full-time position: Monday through Friday, typically between 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position is hybrid, requiring at least three days in our downtown Chicago office.
