Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) is looking for nursing student(s) to perform a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for assigned clinic patients. Students must be currently enrolled in an affiliated program with an approved rotation by FHCSD.
Responsibilities:
- Performs duties as assigned by rotation and clinic under direct supervision.
- The nursing student provides support to an assigned department as a learner/student while gaining knowledge of community health care.
Requirements:
- Interest in community and public health care practices.
- Licensure and clearance may be required for specific assignments.
- Enrollment in an accredited school for certification/degree.
- Current CPR certification preferred (not required)
- Ability to work effectively with patients from diverse social, cultural and economic groups.
- Ability to work well in both a team-based environment and independently.
- Demonstrated ability to be culturally sensitive and respect diversity.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain good working relationships with employees, coworkers, and departments.
- Intermediate interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Spanish/English/Arabic fluency desired, but not always required.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
