Job Description
Location: On site in Memphis, TN
The Human Resources Onboarding Specialist is responsible for the seamless onboarding of new associates, processing internal hires, and managing the transition of temporary and contractor staff. This role involves setting up interviews for hiring leaders, evaluating pre-employment screenings, maintaining employee records, coordinating visa and immigration processes, and answering new associate questions.
Key Responsibilities:
Onboarding New Associates:
- Conduct and evaluate pre-employment screenings for new hire candidates and contractors.
- Process and verify all pre-employment documentation and procedures.
- Guide new hires through the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles.
- Process relocation requests and work with leader, candidate, and relocation company for a smooth transition.
Records Maintenance:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date associate and departmental records.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and organizational requirements regarding employee documentation.
Interview Coordination:
- Coordinate candidate interviews for hiring leaders as needed, particularly for high-level roles.
- Communicate with candidates to schedule and confirm interview details.
Visa and Immigration Processing:
- Work with outside counsel to coordinate visa and immigration processing for new hires.
- Ensure compliance with all immigration regulations.
Talent Acquisition Support:
- Support the Talent Acquisition Team with various tasks and projects as assigned.
- Collaborate closely with the Manager of Talent Acquisition and Onboarding on stretch assignments and other duties as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems, specifically UKG Pro (formerly UltiPro), strongly preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with HR policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of visa and immigration processes is a plus.
