Certified Pharmacy Technician
Location: Woodbridge, VA (Zip Code: 22191)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (No weekends)
Work Hours: 30–40 hours per week
Salary Range: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Certified Pharmacy Technician to support day-to-day pharmacy operations in a fast-paced, professional environment. The ideal candidate will assist with medication preparation and support pharmacists in delivering safe, accurate, and timely service to patients.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, packaging, and labeling of prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure proper documentation of prescriptions and refills.
- Support inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and tracking of medications and supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and coordinating with pharmacists as needed.
- Utilize pharmacy software (preferably US Pioneer or similar systems) for prescription processing and data entry.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy work environment.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active Virginia Pharmacy Technician Certification in good standing.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a pharmacy setting.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and standard pharmacy operations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior compounding experience, including preparation of capsules, creams, suspensions, gels, and powders.
- Familiarity with encapsulation tools and equipment.
- Experience with veterinary (HR Vet) compound preparations.
- Proficiency in using US Pioneer or similar pharmacy software.
- Background in preparing specialized or high-risk compound formulations.

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
Proposed Salary Range: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour
Health Insurance is provided after 3 months.
